Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior, has strongly criticised the controversial equalising goal on Tuesday night, branding the decision “Unacceptable” and calling for immediate clarification over the application of the handball rule.
New Telegraph reports that Chelsea were forced to settle for a 2–2 draw against Leeds United in the Premier League, a result that dented their momentum in the race for a top-four spot.
The Blues let a two-goal lead slip at Stamford Bridge, surrendering valuable points in their push for a top-five finish.
The decisive moment came with Leeds’ equaliser, which sparked controversy after the ball appeared to strike Jayden Bogle’s arm in the build-up to the goal.
Rosenior Expresses Displeasure With Controversial Goal
When asked about the incident after the match, Rosenior initially admitted he had not yet seen a replay.

However, after a TNT Sports reporter informed him that the contact had been judged a “non-deliberate handball,” the Chelsea manager reacted angrily, arguing that the goal should not have stood under the laws of the game.

“The rule is if there’s any handball in the lead-up, it’s disallowed, whether it’s deliberate or not,” Rosenior fumed.
“Someone explain the rules to me. You just got me angrier. I think that’s unacceptable if they’ve come to that judgment.”
The controversy capped off a frustrating night for Chelsea, who had a golden chance to snatch victory in the closing moments, only for Cole Palmer to fire wide of an open goal.
The result ended the Blues’ four-match winning run in the Premier League, while Leeds claimed a valuable point to move up to 15th place in their fight to remain in the top flight.
