Charly Boy Reacts To Mmesoma UTME Result’s Scandal

Following the controversy surrounding Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, a renowned singer and maverick personality, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has claimed that Mmesoma may have been influenced by political leaders.

Charly Boy made this remark while reacting to the outcome of the independent investigation panel set up by the Anambra State Government to look into the case of alleged forgery of Mmesoma’s 2023 UTME result as claimed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

It would be recalled that with the recent release of scores of candidates who applied for admission by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and the subsequent announcement of Nkechiyere Umeh as the candidate with the highest score of 360.

However, a 19-year-old Mmesoma, who is a student of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi, altered her result, claiming she had scored 362.

A Committee set up by the Anambra state government to investigate her claims reported that Mmesoma admitted to manipulating her results.

This revelation caused a lot of controversy as many had no time to waste in blaming the government and JAMB system including Charly Boy, who wasted no time in drawing a connection between Mmesoma’s actions and the influence of political leaders on society.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle to share his views on the matter. Charly Boy, known for his vocal stance on societal issues and his criticism of political leaders, left no stone untouched.

In confusion, Charly Boy acknowledged that Mmesoma had succeeded in deceiving many people, including himself, with her fluent defense and apparent innocence.

Speaking further, he deliberated on the need to restrain from passing judgment, suggesting that Mmesoma was still a talented individual who required guidance and counseling from her parents.

He wrote; “Mmesoma Ejikeme fooled many including me, checkout the fluency with which she defended herself with such innocence. These children na wa, ooo. She is still a brilliant girl so let’s not be in a hurry to destroy her, the parents have a lot of counselling to do with her.

“By the way, who never fuckup, raise ur hand. She learn work from leaders that believed that forgery is good plus those who never found their weac result till date. Am sure she was in dis Naija as INEC was manipulating Nigeria electoral process.”
