The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso on Saturday presented the 2024 half-year briefing to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions.
This was disclosed in a posted shared on the verified X handle of the CBN, noting that the Apex Bank focus is on policies that drive sustainable growth in financial markets.
He said, “CBN is dedicated to maintaining economic stability as we continue to see positive trends. Our focus is on policies that drive sustainable growth in financial markets.

Cardoso in the statement asserted that the CBN has successfully increased transparency and improved overall supply in the foreign exchange market, pointing to the convergence of rates as evidence of the positive effects of the Bank’s reforms in the forex market.
