Fire on late Thursday night razed shops and goods in the popular Abuja market located in Karu.
Karu is one of the major satellite towns located within the Abuja Municipal Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
New Telegraph gathered that the fire started from the informal section of the market and moved to the locked-up shops section.
Jubril Babangoshi, a former aide to a one-time AMAC Chairman, who also said he owned shops in the market confirmed that the situation was demoralizing.
He stated that while the firemen arrived a few minutes after the fire started, it was difficult to gain access to the market.
