
Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso, has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Boniface will miss the UEFA Champions League match against Brest following a car accident.
New Telegraph reported that the Super Eagles striker survived a car accident on Sunday, hours after guiding Leverkusen to a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga.
Boniface sustained minor injuries, including a hand wound and a cut on his right foot, and has not trained since the incident.

Alonso noted that while Boniface is physically recovering, he is emotionally unprepared for the match.
The coach emphasized that his absence is a precautionary measure for his health and well-being.
