After winning the Bundesliga, Victor Boniface, a forward for Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday said the team’s goal for this season is to win treble.
To win their first-ever league title, Xabi Alonso’s team trounced Werder Bremen 5-0 at the BayArena.
Die Werkself has advanced to the DFB Pokal final, where they will face Kaiserslautern.
Leverkusen is aiming for the Europa League title as well.

After winning the first leg of their quarterfinal match 2-0 against West Ham United, the German team has already advanced to the semi-final of Europe’s second-tier competition.
He said: “Of course, we have two [more] important trophies we are aiming at. We are in the DFB-Pokal Cup final, and we are also in the [UEFA] Europa League quarter-finals.
“So it doesn’t stop here. So we have to push hard. We know we won the league, it’s a big achievement for us.
“But we also have two things [trophies] we are aiming at. So if we can have the perfect three, of course, we will celebrate more.”
