The missing two teenagers, Malik Abdulganiyu, 15, and Hawal Akande, 13, have been found dead in a river at Edudu Baale, Idi-Oke community, Igbesa, Ado-Odo, Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The teens, who had been reported missing since August 28, 2024, were discovered on Friday with their bodies floating near their home.
The Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident said the boys had left their home on Wednesday morning to work at the Salvation Army within the same community.

Their absence was reported by their worried mothers after they failed to return home on Thursday.
Upon discovery, police detectives examined the bodies but found no signs of an attack.
The bereaved families requested the release of the bodies to conduct burials in accordance with Islamic rites.
