BOBRISKY
Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has found himself at the center of another scandal following the release of an alleged call recording.
The recording, leaked by social media activist, Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan), on Monday, purportedly features Bobrisky admitting to not being in prison but rather in a well-furnished apartment near the prison.
VeryDarkMan claimed the recording was made on May 16, 2024, and is not a continuation of a previous recording.
The leaked audio has sparked varying reactions on social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing shock, disappointment, and skepticism.
“This is shocking. How can Bobrisky be involved in money laundering and still evade prison?” Oforma19 tweeted
@WillsMedia247 wrote, “Those Bobrisky trusted have turned against him. He thought he had friends, but it’s a pity he had beasts.”

However, some users criticized VeryDarkMan for releasing the recording.
“Why bring this to social media? Take it to court!” commented @real___barlow.
@officialbhigshaq added, “Focus on more pressing issues, like the 2023 election.”
It would be recalled this is not the first time controversy Bobrisky would be embroiled.
In September, VeryDarkMan shared a purported audio of Bobrisky claiming he bribed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15 million to drop money laundering charges.
Bobrisky, however, denied the allegations, insisting he served his jail term and describing the initial viral voice recording as fake.
The EFCC has not commented on the latest development.
The controversy surrounding Bobrisky’s alleged actions has raised questions about the effectiveness of Nigeria’s justice system.
As the debate rages on, Nigerians continue to demand answers.
