Bill Clinton Condemns Minneapolis Violence, Warns Against Erosion Of American Freedoms

Former United States President Bill Clinton has strongly condemned recent events in Minneapolis and other parts of the country, describing them as “horrible scenes” that threaten the foundations of American democracy.

In a statement on Sunday, the 42nd U.S. president expressed deep concern over reports of masked federal agents seizing people from their homes, workplaces, and public spaces, including children.

Clinton said peaceful protesters and citizens exercising their constitutional rights to observe and document law enforcement activities have allegedly been arrested, assaulted, teargassed, and, in some cases, fatally shot.

Clinton accused those in authority of misleading the public and dismissing eyewitness accounts, while escalating what he described as aggressive and antagonistic enforcement tactics.

He further alleged that actions taken by federal authorities have impeded investigations by local officials, worsening tensions rather than restoring order.

According to the former president, the current moment represents a critical turning point in American history.

He warned that decisions made now could shape the nation’s future for generations, cautioning that freedoms built over more than 250 years could be permanently lost if citizens fail to act.

Clinton urged Americans who believe in democracy to stand up, speak out, and defend constitutional rights, stressing that the country ultimately belongs to “We the People.”
