Benue Moves To Increase State’s GDP

The Benue State government yesterday announced the establishment of a polythene factory and the expansion of its bread factory to save cost and increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the state.

Managing Director of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) Limited, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, disclosed this to newsmen after he conducted them round the polythene and bread extension factories in Makurdi, the state capital.

Asemakaha stated that the government decided to expand the bread producing factory to another site to be able to meet the huge demands from customers.

He said the management was currently spending over N27 million to print the nylon bags from Lagos state for wrap up of bread alone, stressing that the company has enough raw materials to sustain production of the nylon bags.
