Bbn’s Anto Lecky’s Live Wire Project, Nurse Jaypee Partner On Blood Drive

In commemoration of World Blood Donor Day and World Sickle Cell Day, The Live Wire Project, a social impact non-governmental organisation founded by Big Brother Naija (BBN) former Housemate, Dr. Munirat Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as Anto Lecky and former Big Brother Titans (BBT) Housemate, Jesupelumi Fasesin, known as Nurse Jaypee, as she is a professional nurse, jointly organised a blood drive event.

The event, which held recently in Lagos was to solicit for blood donation from the public specifically for sickle cell patients. Nurse by profession and actor, Pere Egbi and musical artist and sickle cell carrier, Laycon, were the lead influencers for the blood drive.

“Passionate about social causes, especially using influential voices to drive the conversations, it was important for me to work with Nurse Jaypee to make this blood drive a success.”, Anto Lecky said. Adding, “With all initiatives from The Live Wire Project, we hope to leave a lasting impact.

That is why besides donating blood, we also held an Instagram live session to educate the public on sickle cell disorder by trying to debunk myths about blood donation. We aim to make a difference one person at a time.” Jaypee said, “I know a lot of people who have sickle cell. So, while I am pursuing other dreams, I still have my career.

I can carve a niche for myself and do something with the knowledge and platform that I have, and that’s why I was super on board to partner for the blood drive.” Also at the event were some of their former housemates.
