Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV star and two-time Nigerian high jump champion, Mike Edwards, has secured success in his professional boxing match debut against Jake Cornish.

The bout, which was held at the Dublin Arena on Saturday, went all rounds, with Mike arising victorious by unanimous decision from the judges.

Mike who revealed his surprising turn from athletics to professional boxing in April, participated in the Misfits Boxing Cruiserweight division, run by English social media personality and Nigerian-born professional boxer, Olajide Williams, known as KSI.

Speaking in a post shared via his verified X handle, Misfits Boxing wrote, “An impressive MFB debut for #aireyys as he gets the decision victory. Mike Edwards gets his first #MisfitsBoxing win.”
