Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has apologised to Season 9 ‘No Loose Guard’ housemate, Onyeka, for evocative posts made from her social media account.
The controversy arose after Mercy Eke’s Media handler engaged in a drama relating to the show, the handler in a now-deleted tweet, accused Onyeka of being with Ozee Mbadiwe because of his wealthy background.
“Onyeka the Mbadiwe gold digger sorry to burst your bubbles there’s no gold in the twins… #BBNaija,” Mercy Eke’s verified X handle posted.
Reacting to this, Mercy Eke explains via her Official X handle that her media handler’s actions did not reflect her views.
She apologized to Onyeka’s supporters, calling the posts “Embarrassing” and stressing that they did not represent her feelings.

She tweeted: “Can’t believe I’m waking up to this on my birthday. A handler that was supposed to post my birthday contents and reply to birthday wishes was involving herself in BBN drama and now I have to deal with this mess???
“I have left everything BBN behind for Christ’s sake! And seeing such silly opinions, especially about one of the housemates I like!
“The only reason I’m not tagging this person’s main page is to not get her bullied by fans because this is highly unprofessional.
“I apologise to Team Onyeka because this is so embarrassing coming from my account, it definitely does not represent me or how I feel”.
