A two-term Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Ike Onyeoma, has taken to his social media page to express frustration over Nigeria’s misplacement priorities.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Ike highlighted the soaring cost of living in the country, where gas now costs ₦1,350, food prices are at an all-time high, rent is skyrocketing, and the general cost of living is at an unprecedented low.
He lamented that despite these dire economic challenges, public discourse is more focused on entertainment and gossip.
Ike specifically mentioned the frequent discussions surrounding celebrities such as veryDarkman and Bobrisky.

He described those involved in these discussions as “clowns” and expressed concern that darker days lie ahead if priorities remain misplaced.
“This is worse than I’ve seen it and darker days are ahead,” he stated, warning that these distractions from real issues could further exacerbate the situation.
Ike’s post reflects growing discontent among Nigerians as they face the twin burdens of rising costs and economic hardship, with many feeling that crucial conversations about national welfare are being sidelined.
