Greek professional tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Argentina’s Pedro Cachin in straight sets on Wednesday to easily advance to the round of 16 of the Barcelona Open.
To defeat Cachin 6-4, 6-2, second-seeded Tsitsipas, who finished second to Rafael Nadal in Barcelona in 2018 and 2021, needed just 78 minutes.
The Greek defeated his 69th-ranked opponent by breaking twice at the start of the second set and once more in the fifth game of the first set.
Tsitsipas will play Denis Shapovalov after his attempt to win the Monte Carlo Masters for a third time in a row failed last week in the quarterfinals.
