The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has requested the State House of Assembly to confirmed the names of the three Commissioner nominees send to it.
The request was contained in a letter dated Tuesday, August 13, 2024, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Ibrahim Kashim.
The nominees submitted for approval include Engr. Mohammed Binni Abdulkadir, from Itas/Gadau LGA, nominated to replace Hajara Jibrin Gidado, who recently resigned to contest for the position of LG chairman.
Sani Mohammed Dambam, from Dambam LGA was nominated to replace the late Ahmed Aliyu Jalam, who passed away in a car accident two months ago while traveling to Potiskum in Yobe State to meet his family.

The third person is Zainab Baban Takko from Bauchi Local Government, nominated to replace Mahmood Babamaji, one of the youngest commissioners in the cabinet, who recently resigned to contest for the PDP ticket for the chairmanship of his LGA in Saturday’s elections.
The letter seen by New Telegraph reads: “I am pleased to convey to you and the Honourable House the warm greetings of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, CON, and to inform you that he has approved the submission of the following persons for confirmation as Honourable Commissioners and Members of the State Executive Council.”
The letter also included the nominees’ CVs for the Assembly’s consideration.
