Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has reaffirmed his fitness level, saying he still plays football and squash three times a week.
Obasanjo made this known in a video sighted by Sunday Telegraph while speaking in an interview with Noire TV in the United States (US).
The 87-year-old former president said, “I still play football, squash, three times a week. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

“Old soldiers never dies, they only fade away.”
It would be recalled that in 2023, the former Nigerian president scored a hat trick as the alumni football team of the Baptist Boys’ High School (BBHS), Abeokuta.
The football match was a novelty game between the old boys and the teachers of the school.
Obasanjo was the captain of the Old Boys team that won the game 3-0 which was played at the school football ground in Saje, Abeokuta.
The match was part of activities to mark the 100th anniversary of the school’s establishment.
