Sir Alex Ferguson’s Philosophy Taking Shape In Man United

Manchester United fans look very calm, and seem very happy during this transfer window, some players who are considered legends or surplus to requirements are being let go, while a new set of new players are seen coming through the door, many think it’s all the handiwork of Legendary manager, Sir Alex

As much as United needed reinforcements in midfield, it’s unlikely Mason Mount’s name would have cropped up.

Instead, it would be at either end of the pitch that fans would have pointed to.

Manchester United are making strides to address those deficiencies.

The club are getting closer to an agreement with Inter Milan for Andre Onana, having released David de Gea.

Up front, Rasmus Hojlund remains the target, with John Murtough holding talks with Atalanta.

The Serie A side’s price tag is hefty and sales may be needed to help United get closer to that figure.

Alternatives are in mind to help Erik Ten Hag get closer to United’s Premier League rivals.

It’s clear that they must do everything to land his first-choice options to ensure they don’t move backwards.

Sir Alex Ferguson famously said: “Attacks win you matches, defences win you titles.” Well, United are trying their best to address that this summer.

Defensively, Ten Hag’s side were pretty solid last year.

Undoubtedly, the expectation is that Onana will earn them more points than De Gea did last year, though.

He may also help them improve their glaring weakness at the top end of the pitch.

The Cameroon international may be as integral for what he does in possession as his razor-sharp reflexes to deny their opponents.

Quite simply, United can’t win enough matches without signing a striker. However, Onana’s impact could help complete part of Ferguson’s philosophy.
