Amid ongoing protest of #EndbadgovernanceinNgeria, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, yesterday, declared that weak institutions were responsible for the delay in the effectiveness of the Renewed Agenda Reforms of the present administration.
Ganduje stated this when some leaders of the USAAPC visited the National Secretariat in Abuja. The APC chairman commended the efforts of the USA members on nation building.
He said: “We are highly delighted with that. From history we have checked, since the time of military politics where we have political parties involved during AD, AC, ACN, down to APC of today, some of you have been in such associations that led into political parties.
“So, there’s no doubt that you are committed party men and women, and we appreciate your coming. “There’s no doubt even the so-called developed economies have their turbulence in one way or the other.
So, it’s not surprising that Nigeria is having its own shell of the problem. “You’ll recall that whenever there is a reform agenda, obstacles must be on the way, as a result people must suffer in one way or the other.
“But, in the long run, everything will be according to the plan. We are aware that our president, Bola Tinubu, came in with the intention to introduce reforms. “Our institutions are weak, and unless you have strong institutions, you will find it difficult to implement whatever good policies you have.
Leader of the delegation, Prof Adesegun Labinjo, in his address reeled out the support of the foreign branch of the party to administration of the party and the party itself.
He stated that the USAAPC chapter has members that could help to reposition and bring about the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We have done so much for APC selflessly with little or nothing to show for it in terms of recognition or compensation from the party or the party controlled government, regardless, we will continue to fly the flag of the party in the United States of America.
