The National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said it is ready to entertain the petitions and complaints of members brought before it, against any member of the party suspected to have engaged in anti-party activity.
The Chairman of the committee, High Chief Tom Ikimi, in a statement, disclosed that the NDC held its preliminary meetings on August 21, September 28 24 and 30, in preparation for its sensitive and challenging assignment.
Ikimi assured that the committee will deal “fairly, firmly and transparently” with any petition or complaint brought before it, “in accordance with, and obedience to the dictates of the PDP constitution.”
He expressed the hope that the committee’s “fairness, firmness, and decisiveness will restore the hope and confidence of our great party to meet the expectations of our teeming membership nationwide and the suffering Nigerian public that is desperate now for an appropriate national leadership.”
The former Foreign Affairs minister urged members of the party and its leadership to give the committee the support and cooperation necessary to carry out its assignment successfully.
