Anambra State government has set up a rapid response team to commence the process of evacuating possible victims of flood disaster in some local government areas of the state.
Recall that Governor Charles Soludo had announced that a rapid response team would be set up to kick start the process of relocating flood victims to the holding camps in the state.
The rapid response team is made up of officers and men of the Ocha Brigade as well as staff of the State Ministry of Environment under the supervision of the commissioner, Engr Felix Odumegwu.
Rising from the meeting of the flood management committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the committee announced that as the flood comes all the holding camps are being upgraded with materials as well as medical personnel posted to the holding camps.
