AFCON: Falz Defends Iwobi Over Online Criticism

Famous Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the bad guy, has taken to social media to defend Super Eagles player, Alex Iwobi.

New Telegraph has earlier reported that Iwobi faced heavy criticism from Nigerians following his alleged poor performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation’s final on Sunday.

Reacting to the backlash on Iwobi, Falz who took to his defense said every single player that puts on green and white to represent Nigeria at the AFCON match made a sacrifice and does not deserve to be treated badly.

Sharing Alex Iwobi’s picture on his Instagram page on Monday evening, the rapper kicked against cyber-bullying, while expressing his love for the player.

Falz wrote; “We win together, we lose together. Every single player that puts on the green white green to represent us, is making an immense sacrifice and does not deserve to be treated with this much disdain.

“We speak a lot about cyber-bullying but we are so quick to turn against our own. @alexanderiwobi Love you bro! Thank you.”
