Adeoti Addresses Absence From Wife’s 50th Birthday Celebration

Kazim Adeoti, the husband to Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has finally broken his silence regarding his absence from the 50th birthday celebration of his first wife, Olufunsho Adeoti.

Sunday Telegraph reports that Olufusho’s 50th birthday party was held amidst funfare and wide jubilation with families and friends in the United States last weekend.

But yhe absence of his husband sparked social media backlash, prompting Kazim to clarify the situation through a statement via his Instagram page on Sunday.

Adeoti explained that his absence from the event stemmed from his estranged wife’s specific request that he should not attend.

According to him, the celebrant had communicated her wishes to him directly.

She asked him not to be part of the celebration despite his willingness to attend.

Adeoti expressed that although her decision was painful, he respected her wishes and chose to remain in Nigeria.

He further stated that despite his physical absence, he extended his support financially and morally, ensuring the event’s success.

He mentioned that several family members from Nigeria honoured her big day in the U.S. on his behalf.

Adeoti concluded by saying that he wished Olufunsho Adeoti a happy birthday privately, a gesture that she acknowledged pleasantly.
