Adeleke, Oyinlola, Aregbesola, Oyetola Bag Osun IPAC Meritorious Award

The Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC), Osun State Chapter has concluded an arrangement to bestow a meritorious award on the incumbent Governor of the State, Ademola Adeleke.

Other great indigenes of the state who would be honoured for their starling performance are late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Chief Bisi Akande, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

Addressing a press conference to unveil the first-of-its-kind programme in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Wednesday, IPAC Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande said that the programme is billed to hold on December 5, 2024.

He said the theme of the programme is “THE PLATFORM (Inclusive Governance)” and it will take place at Atlantis Event Centre at 11 am.

According to him, Africa’s first Nobel laureate in Literature, Prof. Wole Soyinka, and former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Attahiru Jega have been pencilled down as guest lecturers at the occasion.

“We are organising IPAC Day during which we will present meritorious awards to great men who have served in their capacity as democratic governors in Osun state.

“Governors to be honoured at the event are Senator Isiaka Adeleke (Post Humorous award), Chief Bisi Akande, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke.

“When we considered their sterling attributes and the great contributions as governors, we felt they deserved our honour so as to serve as an encouragement for the coming generations.

“As administrators per excellence and politicians of repute, these men did their best in turning around the business, economic, social and political scenario of Osun State.

“During their times, they rendered impeccable services that touched the lives of the people of the State in a remarkable way and history will forever be grateful to them.

“Some of them have proven their integrity as good ambassadors of Osun State at the federal level and we need to let them know that we are monitoring them closely.

“The event slated for December 5, 2024, will take place at Atlantis Event Centre, Ring Road, Osogbo, the state capital at 11 am with the theme THE PLATFORM (Inclusive Governance).”
