A two-time governorship candidate in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke (SAN) has urged all aspirants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to work together for the victory of the party in the November 16 governorship election in the state.
Oke, who participated in the April 20 governorship primary of the APC, said the issues surrounding the primary that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the candidate should be jettisoned in the interest of the party.
Speaking at a programme organised by Grassroots for Good Governance Initiative (3GI) in collaboration with APC, Okeowo said those in the party in government should not imagine being in opposition as the opposition could capitalize on the dispute among the aspirants to dislodge the ruling party.
On his part, a rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), tasked political officeholders and government to put in place a system that would entrench good leadership and grassroots development in Nigeria.
Speaking on the topic: “Leadership Synergy: Strengthening Grassroots Development and Democracy,” Adegboruwa said there was a need for leadership synergy in the country.
He said leadership synergy entails dynamic interaction and collaboration among leaders, teams, and stakeholders to achieve a shared vision and goals, harnessing collective energy, expertise, and resources to produce outcomes greater than the sum of individual contributions.
