Former presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has described the death of Ekene Abubakar Adams, a member of the Labour Party in the House of Representatives from Kaduna State, as tragic loss to the nation.
Obi in a statement on his X handle, said Adams who died at the age of 39, had made significant contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria within the short period he was in the house.
“His passion and expertise in this field will be greatly missed,” he regretted. The deceased lawmaker was Chairman of House Committee on Sports. He represented Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency of Kaduna State.
Obi expressed his condolences to his wife, family, and loved ones, and prayed that “God Almighty who called him home at this time (will) forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest, and grant his family, and all of us, the fortitude to bear his sad irreplaceable loss.”
