Adamawa: New Murum Mbula receives staff of office

Borrong community in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State was agog yesterday following the official coronation and presentation of staff of office to Murum Bwaltam Mboiman 11 as Murum Mbula. Speaking at the occasion, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said: “With the emergence of Murum Bwaltam Mboiman 11, as the 11th Murum Mbula, we expect the entire Mbula Kingdom to come together and stand in solidarity with our new king. “We must rally round the king, support and honour him so that others may honour him even more to embody the greatness, integrity, resilience, hospitality and pride of the Mbula people.” The governor, while presenting the staff of office to the new mon-arch, charged traditional rulers in the state not to be partisan. According to him, “It is noteworthy that both Christianity and Islam teach us that powers comes from God alone, He alone confers it on whoever He wishes.” While saluting the courage of your co-contestants and their spirit of sportsmanship in accepting the decision of the kingmakers and rallying round the new Murum.
