Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on youths across the country to accept peace, stop the #EndSARS protests and engage the Federal Government in dialogue. ACF, in its Eid-el- Maulud message to Nigerians, appealed to the youth to sheathe their sword.
It stated that this year’s celebration is coming at a time when the country is enmeshed in protest, looting and crisis. National Publicity Secretary of ACF, Emmanuel Yawe, said that “as the nation celebrates Eid-el-Maulud, the group would like to rejoice with all Nigerians on this holy occasion.” The Forum said: “Our country is mired in deep crises of violent demonstrations, killings and looting at an unprecedented level.
The events of the past few weeks do not portray us as a godly people that we are known all over the world to be. “The Forum is particularly urging the youth to avoid violent street demonstrations and the unprecedented looting of public and private properties. They should rather engage government in useful dialogue.”
