AC Milan Make Surprise Move For Lukaku

AC Milan have made a shocking enquiry about Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku over a summer move.

The Belgian striker is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues keen to offload him in the summer as part of a massive clear-out.

Following a two-year loan spell, Inter Milan are looking to sign him permanently, however, they are struggling to meet the west Londoners’ valuation.

Inter’s arch-rivals Milan are looking to pounce on the situation and have identified Lukaku as a top target as part of the summer overhaul.

Unlike the cash-strapped Inter side, Rossoneri will soon see some cash flow with the imminent departure of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United in a deal worth €80 million.

They are planning to invest the funds in new signings, including another Inter target Davide Frattesi.

Inter are working on a deal to sign the Sassuolo midfielder as a replacement for exit-linked Marcelo Brozovic, but Milan are now trying to throw a spanner in the works.

Nevertheless, Inter are confident that both players will reject Milan’s advances.

Lukaku has already declined offers from Saudi Arabia to continue in Europe and is said to be pushing for a return to Inter.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have reportedly agreed personal terms with Frattesi and are optimistic they can strike a deal with Neroverdi.

The Italian midfielder is valued at around €40m, and Inter are looking to fund the move with the sale of Brozovic, who is being targeted by Al-Nassr.

A similar fee is also required for Lukaku’s transfer, with the Champions League finalists continuing their talks with Chelsea to find a solution.

Elsewhere, Milan have also lined up Marcus Thuram as a top target for the summer, with the Frenchman available as a free agent.

Multiple reports are stating that Rossoneri have beaten Paris Saint-Germain for the former Borussia Monchengladbach star.
