A man identified as Amadi Alozie has been apprehended by youths in the Umudosi community, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia State, for allegedly killing his mother with a cutlass and mutilating the genitals of his son for suspected ritual purposes.
New Telegraph gathered that indicates that Alozie pounced on his son and severely injured his genitalia, causing the young boy to scream in pain.
This cry alerted Mrs Alozie, Amadi’s mother, who rushed to check on her grandson.

On realizing that his mother had discovered his heinous act, Amadi allegedly turned on her with a cutlass, inflicting deep wounds that led to her death.
The boy, who was grievously injured, has since been rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.
Amadi attempted to flee the scene after the attack but was quickly apprehended by local youths, who handed him over to the police for further investigation.
The Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the incident, stating, “We have such reports at Eastern Ngwa Divisional Headquarters.
However, the victim has been rushed to the hospital, the suspect is in custody, and investigations are ongoing.”
