Abbas, Kalu Celebrate ThisDay Publisher, Obaigbena At 64

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and his Deputy, Hon. Benjamin Kalu have congratulated Mr Nduka Obaigbena, the Publisher of ThisDay Newspaper, on his 64th birthday.

Abbas in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi said Obaigbena, who is also the Chairman of Arise News has earned his stripes as a patriotic Nigerian and media tycoon.

The Speaker noted Nduka’s significant media contributions to the establishment of democracy in Nigeria and stated that the media magnate employed his God-given skill to advance the unity and stability of the nation.

He pleaded with Obaigbena and other media proprietors to keep doing their part to advance Nigeria.

Similarly, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House described Obaigbena as a colossus who has through his own consistent and concerted efforts supported the ambitions of many in the profession.

“He has contributed a great deal in the promotion journalism profession in the country and beyond. Aside from his laudable innovations that have shaped Nigeria’s media industry for decades, Obaigbena has also played a notable role in Nigeria’s Political Reform,” Kalu added.
