No fewer than 61 foreign nationals have been deported by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) in August 2024, as part of efforts to address and curb irregular migration.
This was contained in a press statement issued on Sunday announcing the ervice’s achievements for the month of August.
The statement partly reads, “The NIS eased out 61 foreign nationals to address irregular migration. The new Visa Policy facilitated 8,352 Visas on Arrival.”

The NIS continues to enforce strict immigration policies to maintain legal and controlled migration within Nigeria’s borders.
