The Federal Government yesterday released the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results for admissions to the Federal Unity Colleges.
The Minister of State for Education Yusuf Sununu, who announced the results at a news conference in Abuja, said one candidate scored the highest mark of 203 in the examination.
According to him, the results of 50 candidates from Rivers State and two from Lagos State were withheld over examination malpractice 71,291 candidates who registered for the exam conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO) in 599 centres on June 1.
He said: “This year, an unprecedented number of 52 candidates (2 candidates from Lagos State and 50 candidates from Rivers State) were involved in examination malpractice.”
Sununu said 13 students scored 01 in the examination, while only one candidate scored the highest score of 203 out of the obtainable score of 210.
According to NECO, Lagos came tops with the highest number of candidates, with 17,751, with the FCT second with 10,209 candidates, and Anambra State third with 4,972 candidates.
