A 40-feet container fell and killed a woman inside her car in Ogudu area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Her driver, on the other hand, was unharmed by the crash, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA).
Taofiq Adebayo, Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, alleged that the driver of the articulated truck transporting the container and his aide fled the scene as soon as the accident occurred.
“A fully loaded 40fts Mack articulated truck today fell on a Nissan Car (ABJ 692 BG) and instantly killed a woman at the rear of the car while the car driver survived unhurt with support by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officials by N.N.P.C inward Estate, Alapere, Lagos.”

“Preliminary investigation showed that the fleeing truck driver was driving at high speed when he experienced brake failure and lost control of the vehicle.
“The truck rammed into the car and spilled the container on top of it.
“LASTMA already handed the evacuated corpse of the woman to the police,’’ Adebayo stated.
