Police Launch Investigation Into Death Of Corps Member In Ogun

The Delta State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad has arrested four suspected armed robbers along Kwale road and recovered two pump action rifle.

The suspects are identified as Savage Roland, 26, from Afisere, Ughelli North LGA, Clever Imonukore, 29, Isaac Umukoro, 49, and Louis Opone, 40. They were stopped while driving a Lexus 350 SUV during a stop and search operation.

Upon searching the vehicle, the police found two brand new pump action guns, leading to the arrest of the four men.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, the arrest is a significant achievement in the police’s efforts to curb armed robbery in the state.

“The Rapid Response Squad’s stop and search operation along Kwale Road led to the interception of the suspects and the recovery of two pump action guns,” Edafe said in a statement.

SP Edafe also added that the investigation is currently ongoing, and the police are working to determine the source of the guns and the suspects’ potential involvement in other crimes.
