32,000 Applicants Jostle For 1,000 Teaching Jobs In Ondo

No fewer than 32,000 applicants have applied for the one thousand teaching jobs available at the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). Sequel to this, the commission said it will conduct an online examination for all applicants seeking appointment to teach in the state’s public secondary schools.

A statement by the Head of Press and Public Relations Unit of the State Teaching Service Commission, Goodluck Akinyomi, said the ten minutes online recruitment examination would be conducted between 9am today and 9am tomorrow. He said the examination will involve all applicants; and in the spirit of inclusiveness, all physically-challenged applicants would also take the examination the same date and time except the visually impaired who would take theirs at a later date.

The Commission’s Administrative Secretary, Mrs Morayo BayoPhilip, said appointment of teachers into public secondary schools would be based on merit as no one would be employed through the back door.
