Amid the ongoing political crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly, the Speaker of the House under the leadership of Martin Amaewhule, has given Governor Siminalayi Fubara a 7-day ultimatum to resubmit the 2024 budget for review.
The Amaewhule-led faction of Rivers Assembly gave the directive after the pro-Wike faction convened for their first session in several months on Monday.
It would be recalled that Governor Fubara had presented the budget to the Oko-Jumbo faction, which supports him, with his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, presiding as Speaker.
