2 More Boko Haram Fighters Surrender To MNJTF

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Sector 3, Monguno, says two more Boko Haram fighters laid down their arms in the region.

In a statement yesterday, the Chief of Military Public Information Abubakar Abdullahi said the two fighters identified as Ahmed Isiaka, 18, and Adam Muhammed, 17, are from the Kolloram, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

“They relinquished various items, including 250 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 50 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, and a 9mm PARA round, among other personal belongings,” the statement added. On March 26, the MNJTF reported the surrender of two terrorist commanders.

These events underscored the effectiveness of the diverse non-kinetic measures the MNJTF has implemented to promote safety and security in the Lake Chad basin region impacted by Boko Haram and other terrorist activities.
