Two Kogi State Government officials, Abdulsalami Hudu and Umar Oricha, yesterday reported to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following media reports that a Federal Court in Abuja had declared them wanted.
Their decision to present themselves at the EFCC office appears linked to recent reports that the Federal High Court in Abuja issued an arrest order for Hudu and Oricha due to allegations of suspicious financial transactions.
Justice Emeka Nwite reportedly granted the order last Tuesday in a motion ex parte filed by the EFCC, registered as suit number: FHC/ABJ/CS/909/2024.
The officials stated that they chose to report to the EFCC voluntarily, as lawabiding citizens, to clarify their positions on the allegations, despite not receiving any formal warrant or invitation from the anticorruption agency.
