No fewer than 100 indigenes of the Ogbunike community in the Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State are to benefit from the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme (AHIS).

They will also benefit from the Ogbunike Free Medical Outreach where villagers will receive free medical treatment sponsored by the CEO of White Care Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited, Kene Ikeche.

The sponsor, a veteran journalist Chuma Udokamma, said it was part of his contributions towards assisting the underprivileged and the vulnerable in the town.

According to him, he has been paying numerous medical bills to help people. He said: “I have therefore decided to launch a ground breaking health scheme aimed at enhancing the welfare of hundreds of indigent people in Ogbunike, my home town.
