No fewer than 1,376,39 candidates have registered for the on-going 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO).

The Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, made the disclosure yesterday after monitoring the examination conducted at some centres in Enugu, Enugu State.

Wushishi in a statement signed by Ag. Director, Information and Digital Communication, Azeez Sani and made available to newsmen in Abuja, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination in the centre.

According to the Registrar, reports received from across the nation indicated that the examination was going on smoothly, as a result of the various measures put in place to ensure a seamless exercise also, due to some innovations put in place, the menace of examination malpractice was on the decline.
